I am a 33 year old mother of 4. I have been working since I was 17 years old. My husband and I own a transportation company in the Los Angeles area www.ladoortodoor.com. We have been blessed to have been able to do this this for over 10 years now. We transport people with disabilities to and from their day programs. This business has been a wonderful and rewarding experience for the both of us. Being in California and being in this industry has been a roller coaster ride for us. As you know California has been faced with a budget crisis for quite sometime now, which has greatly affected us. Not to mention the rising gas prices that just keep going and going.
The state of California has made many cuts to the Regional Centers who in turn have made cuts to us transportation companies. One day I sat with my husband and we tried to figure out how we could make more money to help continue to stay afloat and provide the much needed assistant that our consumers needed. Then we decided, instead of just transporting people with disabilities, we would also offer group transportation to those who were interested in going places on the weekend. We even started transporting people to and from the airport. All in all we were still getting beat up with the gas prices.
One day my friend Kristy called me and was so excited about how she had been working from home being her own boss and actually making money doing it. I never really thought any of the so called "Work from home $$" things worked. I'll be honest, I thought they were scams. Then I thought at this point what did I have to lose. So I went to her house and she showed me little by little how to do some of the things she was doing. I thought it looked easy enough for me to try it, so I did. Its been over 2 months now that I have been working from home and I am loving it. My husband is still taking care of our business and my kids are so excited that I am around more to help with homework and have dinner ready. There were so many evenings where I was too drained from being at the office all day, that a home cooked meal was not an option.
I thank my friend so much for taking her time to show me the things I needed to get started. I will be the first to say that "Making $$$ From Home" really works. It is exactly what we needed to subsidize for the money that state and the pump were taking. The only way is up from here! You can do it too....
